The whole team of Magnusson to merge with GLIMSTEDT in Latvia

The entire team of Magnusson is to merge with GLIMSTEDT in Latvia and work under the GLIMSTEDT brand name as of 1 October 2017. Magnusson managing partner Valdis Kronis and partner Dr. Ivars Kronis become partners at GLIMSTEDT.

According to Aldis Kalinks, Managing Partner of GLIMSTEDT in Latvia, the merger will consolidate core competencies and professional expertise of GLIMSTEDT and Magnusson teams and will help to provide local and international clients with significantly broader range of legal services by experts from all practice areas.

Through the merger, GLIMSTEDT in Latvia will strengthen several legal practices including litigation, arbitration, restructuring and insolvency, real estate, commercial, corporate, tax, IP, and competition.

As of 1 October, the law firm GLIMSTEDT in Latvia will be managed by highly experienced partners – Aldis Kalinks (Managing Partner), Dr. Ivars Kronis, Valdis Kronis, Agnese Medne, and Lauris Zubulis.

Dr. Ivars Kronis is a member of Latvian Collegium of Sworn advocates, qualified insolvency practitioner, arbitrator of the Riga Permanent Court of Arbitrage. Ivars focuses on insolvency, restructuring and commercial disputes and is a leading arbitration expert in Latvia. Valdis Kronis obtained LL.M. degree at Durham University, United Kingdom. He is a member of Latvian Collegium of Sworn advocates, qualified insolvency practitioner, arbitrator of the Riga Permanent Court of Arbitrage. Main areas of his practice include insolvency, litigation, arbitration, corporate, real estate, M&A, EU and competition law.
